At Silver Sitters, in hourly care service, caregivers come in shifts. This type of care is usually provided for more independent clients who may only need assistance with showering or shopping. This care also helps when primary family caregivers need to be away from the home and are concerned about the client’s safety, for example when a primary family caregiver is working.

However, daily care is designed for those seniors who require close supervision at all times. This type of care is often used when a spouse can not safely provide the care needed. This is also for clients who are at risk for frequent falling.

At Silver Sitters fully screened and trained care professionals are available to assist the clients with a personalized approach for in-home care. We understand how senior adults require a little more hands-on and personal support like feeding, bathroom assistance, transfers and grooming. While hiring, the caregivers are thoroughly screened including State Required Level 2 Background screenings on file and reference checks.

Before we initiate the care process, one of our professional care coordinators visits you for a free In-Home Care Consultation. This consultation helps our coordinators to understand your needs and expectations for in-home care. Based on your requirement, we select a caregiver for you.

Silver Sitters hire only caregivers – who best-match the standard of our services. Our screening process helps us to evaluate their skills and personalities so that there should be no trouble for our clients.

In the event of a medical emergency call 911.  Our caregivers all have CPR certifications.  Should you have an urgent need to speak to our on-call nurse please call the office line and a nurse will call you promptly.  Requested RN calls will be billed to your account on an hourly basis.  Please call the office for any questions/concerns.

Unexpected events happen to everyone and we always aim to accommodate our clients. You may either cancel a shift or services altogether with a 24-hour notice. We charge nothing for cancellation with a suitable notice period. 

We will provide you a cancellation policy at the start of your service.

Of course! Needs change and we accommodate your various needs if they comply with the daily and weekly minimum number of hours. For major changes to client and family care requests please contact the office to implement a new Client Care Request Form to ensure needed care is provided.

No, we will send you an invoice every week (via mail or email, your choice) and you can pay via check, credit card, or a debit to your account (your choice).
